Research Recruiting Opportunities

We strive to empower patient-centered research and culturally appropriate community education by recruiting participants for clinical trials, surveys, focus groups, and interviews in partnership with our member organizations and many collaborators.

We do our best to empower our global community aiming to elevate the patient voice from different regions of the world, including regions who do not normally participate in clinical research.

Albert Einstein said, “Don’t listen to the person who has the answers; listen to the person who has the questions…”

GAAPP recruit participants to help your questions find the answers and inform better care delivery, improved treatments, new therapies, and better medical devices

Community Surveys

The experience and insights collected from a community can be used to help researchers learn about the unmet needs of patients and guide the development of new resources, educational materials and treatments. Anonymous surveys provide important information about essential issues within the community that need to be solved. If you have any questions, please email research@gaapp.org

GAAPP has been collaborating with the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies on a new programme of work about the future of COPD prevention and management at both the practice and policy level. As well as the production of an index which will compare countries. They are also undertaking a Delphi study. Participate in the survey: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=jjvZyuMbfkev96kAQ_f4JF5B1eH4Ax1DqWqw5zY0vytUMFE0QzhYR0w0UE5WNzk0TlQxRkc3UTJVMC4u

Advisory Boards, Focus Groups and Patient Insights

Patients and caregivers have unique experiences that others can learn from, experiences that are unknown to researchers. Ad Boards serve a fundamental purpose in providing the patient voice, an informed perspective on the related topics being studied.

The BURDEN initiative is a research project to examine the impact of Non-Cystic Fibrosis Bronchiectasis (NCFBE) on the everyday life of people living with NCFBE and their caregivers. It is also commonly referred to as bronchiectasis (without cystic fibrosis) or just bronchiectasis. Bronchiectasis is a chronic, often progressive lung disease characterized by irreversible and abnormal widening of the bronchi and chronic symptoms.

GAAPP is collecting short video testimonials and is interested in hearing from you! Recording your story takes approximately 30 minutes and can be done using your smartphone. Interested to learn more? Email us at info@gaapp.org.

Clinical Trial Recruitment

Before a new treatment can be approved for use, a thorough process of research needs to take place. Clinical studies are an important step in that process.  Treatments might be new drugs, surgical procedures or devices, as well as new ways to use existing treatments.
