The REMIND research study is for adults who have Chronic Inducible Urticaria (CINDU) inadequately controlled by H1-antihistamines. CINDU can cause symptoms like itchy skin when exposed to certain triggers like scratching, cold temperatures, or sweating.
Right now, the study is looking for people who have cold urticaria or cholinergic (exercise or sweat-induced) urticaria to participate. This is a great opportunity to contribute to research and help find potential treatment options for these conditions.

Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria (CSU)
Are you a caregiver for an adolescent 12–17 years of age, diagnosed with chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU), and possibly have experience with angioedema?
If you are interested and eligible to take part in the study, you will have the opportunity to participate in a 45–90-minute, one-on-one web-based or telephone interview to learn about the experiences of adolescents with chronic spontaneous urticaria.
The study does not involve any treatments or procedures; we are only interested in understanding the patient experience of living with chronic spontaneous urticaria.
You will receive financial compensation for completing the interview.

The CAAT Governance Board convened on 4 March to review ongoing activities and analysis plans of several observational studies that will be discussed with the broader team at the ATS Conference in May 2025.
Results of a cross-sectional data analysis of the large AstraZeneca observational study Novelty are now available online. The results demonstrated the validity of the CAAT across asthma and/or COPD groups, supporting its value as a way to assess health status in clinical practice and research. A recent publication on the CAT (Arabic) in a Moroccan COPD cohort confirmed the CAT>10 predictive value as a screening tool for COPD in Primary Care.

March came in “like a lion”….it has been a very cold winter in my part of the world. Our team has been busy writing manuscripts and conference abstracts, analyzing data, writing new research protocols for ethics submissions, and preparing for multiple spring conferences, including the upcoming Brasov IPCRG Research conference in April, which I plan to attend with my new GAAPP colleague and collaborator Vildana Mujkic.
We released a new “Passion for Patients” podcast on multiple platforms, including Apple Podcast and Spotify, in which I discussed patient-centric clinical research, the impact of big data and digital health tools in real-world research trials with our host Tonya Winders.
