GAAPP Summit & Annual General Meeting 2025

The 2025 Annual General Meeting and GAAPP Summit was held in person in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on September 25th and 26th, 2025.

The GAAPP Summit provides the platform for patient organizations to raise their voice for urgent issues, share best practices, and come together with respiratory and immunology advocacy organizations.

Pre-Summit event
- 09:00h – Alpha-1: The Lung and Liver Connection Workshop

Annual General Meeting (Member Organizations Only)

- Welcome & Orientation
  - opening remarks, overview of goals
- Member Stories Panel
  - Short, diverse examples of what’s working and where support is needed
- Industry Panel

- Breakout #1 – Regional Discussions
  - Participants meet by region to identify shared priorities and barriers. These discussions may pick up threads from earlier summits to encourage follow-through on shared advocacy, awareness, research, or education goals.
- Skill-Building Tracks
  - Participants will select the two sessions from a list that would be of most interest.
19:00h – One World Dinner at QBeach Bar (walking or short taxi distance) – 18:45h meet at the reception, and go there together.

09:00h – GAAPP Summit 2025 Day 2 (Open to all attendees)
- Breakout #2 – Disease-Focused Strategy Sessions
  - Attendees meet in condition-based groups to discuss common needs and goals across borders.
- Global Policy Session + Activity
  - Intro to the WHO Lung Health Resolution and UN Political Declarations.
12:00h – Lunch Break + Visit to the Members Organization Expo
- Workshops
  - Hands-on sessions focused on campaign planning, storytelling, engaging policymakers, and research involvement
- The GAAPP Update Panel
  - Panel Q&A Session where attendees can ask for any questions or provide feedback about the 4-pillar update that was sent in advance.
