My Asthma Diary, a joint collaborative project between GAAPP and GSK, was created to present Health Care Professionals and medical teams the patient perspectives on living with severe asthma, and to enhance understanding amongst HCPs of its impact over time.

We engaged 3 patients from different regions of the world and created patient-focused materials for external education purposes. These patients, Irantzu Muerza (Spain), Brenda Young (USA), and Christian Ukegbu (Nigeria), shared with us their different experiences and Asthma journeys as well as their valuable insights regarding:

  • The physical and mental impact of asthma
  • The challenges of living with asthma in your work life and your general lifestyle
  • The impact on their family life
  • The feeling of being less abled than others
  • The impact of COVID-19 on an asthmatic patient
  • The experience of a late diagnosis
  • The difficulties in accessing asthma care
  • Etc.

We are pleased to share some of these stories with our GAAPP community so you can reshare and spread the voice to create a meaningful impact globally.
