Be Aware of Phishing emails and Scams

As some of you may have experienced, sometimes criminals impersonate GAAPP staff and Board members, specially our president Tonya Winders, to request money or information from our members. If you see any email that looks suspicious always check the sender and remember that GAAPP will never ask money from our member organizations If you want to educate yourself more in detecting fake emails and scams please check this video.

Sharing is caring: Exchanging Knowledge on Asthma Care

Join us for an upcoming webinar on asthma care! The expert panel will discuss the importance of asthma health literacy and providing scientifically validated resources for patients and caregivers. The webinar will consist of asthma education from a medical doctor, a roundtable with patients and caregivers moderated by Susanna Palkonen (EFA), Tonya Winders (GAAPP), and with the participation of Ugochukwu Nwangoro, GAAPP Board Member.

UCARE 4U Webinar: Patient Organizations, the bridge between the patient and the physician

Patient organizations are a vital bridge between the patient and the physician, especially for conditions like urticaria that are often under-diagnosed.

In this webinar, organized by GA2LEN UCARE, participants will learn all about the ins-and outs of patient organizations, listen to the patient (advocate) journey of someone affected, and understand how patient organizations also help physicians in offering the best care to their patients.

Kristen Willard, Education Consultant in GAAPP will participate to represent the patient voice.

PSNOUVES kick-starts the Advocacy for Atopic Dermatitis in El Salvador

PSONUES, El Salvador, with GAAPP support, carried out the first face-to-face meeting with people with Atopic Dermatitis within the framework of the commemoration of World Atopic Dermatitis Day. This meeting offered educational talks to patients and included healthcare professionals and policymakers from the El Salvador Ministry of Health, who discussed the first steps to work on the unmet needs of AD patients.

“A FEW HUNDRED MILLIONS” Premiere

On September 7th, the Austrian Lung Union premiered three short films on the subject of Severe Asthma at the Stadtkino in Vienna.

A socially critical film that reflects society. Three different characters with asthma, in their free time, in competitive sports and in their professional lives are linked. Adequate therapy and talking about it are the messages.
